Dear Friends, We have many societies and movements for various "rights" in life today: animal rights, and human rights, to name just two. And they are commendable, but there is a different way to experience life that supersedes the human and mental level of life; and this is living and experiencing life at the level of spirit. When we co-operate with the law of spirit, it is a whole new ballgame. One of the first questions asked in the Divine Science Basic Principle class, is: "Who is it that is postponing peace on earth?" Now, at the beginning of a new year, I find that a very relevant question. The only way that peace - true peace, love, and joy comes to the world is through individual consciousness. Are we aware then that we, at times, could be the very blocks to that which we desire and wish to experience most? And of course, it is important to realize that the love, peace, and joy to which I refer, is that which is not of this world. Any world peace we may encounter or know is transitory - it passes. Anything on the mental or purely human level of existence is transient, which is why the world easily vacillates between peace and unrest. We have this with the odd peace treaty being signed between countries from time to time. The intention for peace is there, but those involved need to know that the only true peace is that which comes from the source of all life - God. It is the peace that does not have its origin in anything or anyone human; it is the peace that is achieved without effort. God is the substance of all form; we are merely the branches through which His good can be expressed. H. Emilie Cady, in her book, "Lessons In Truth," states that there are many branches, all of which are necessary to the perfect vine, which is seeking through you and me to bear much fruit. And then she adds that we need to take our eyes off the ends of the branches, the results, and keep them centred in the vine. This last statement really makes sense to me because all too often we get caught up in results, and we miss being in the awareness of the Presence of God. When we abide (stay) in the awareness of the Presence within, we will automatically know the peace and joy that follows in that state of being. Our problem is that we think our way into a sense of separation from truth - yet we are never really separated from the truth of our being. We try with our human minds to identify with truth; with the statement that "I and my Father are one." And when our human minds cannot grasp this, we live our lives denying it. At the human level of consciousness we will not identify with the truth of our being - it is not about making the human spiritual. We need to go beyond the human sense of life in order to understand and realize truth. Jesus said: "My peace is not of this world", and he also referred to the "kingdom that is not of this world." And Joel Goldsmith affirms this as follows:- "In the presence of spiritual realization, the material sense of existence loses its claim to power." So, let us seek and move towards the kingdom that is not of this world. Let us re-discover the true joy of being what we originated as, and still are, in that kingdom. It takes the peace, love, and joy of the kingdom of spiritual consciousness to be realized first in individual consciousness in order for it to manifest and be experienced in turn in the world. DIVINE SCIENCE CLASSES: (please note the attached letter) The class in Basic Principle is scheduled to begin on Tuesday 02 March, at 7:15pm, with Mallory Kretzmann. This class, a pre-requisite for the other classes, is a course of instruction on the meaning of certain terminology, basic assumptions, and universal spiritual principles, and is the foundation on which we build our understanding of this new view of Life, God, and ourselves. Investment is R400.00 per student, and there is also a charge for the text book. The class in Meditation is scheduled to begin on Wednesday 03 March, at 7:00pm, with Helen Penfold. This course will focus on "The Lord's Prayer" as a guide to the practical application of meditation in our daily lives. It will also teach Meditation and Concentration Techniques that quieten and focus the mind. Investment is R400.00 per student.

with a special appearance by Louise Hay. The first walk of the year will be on
Saturday, 20 February 2010. We will be going to Lawrie's Bay and will meet
in the main car park at Kini Bay at 8:00am. Please bring water to drink,
wear a sunhat and sunblock and bring along a snack to eat. There is a lovely
bay for swimming or snorkelling, so bring bathing costumes and towels as
