Dear Friends,
As you are aware, we have recently celebrated “Heritage Day” here in our
country. So, on this day we enjoy a holiday and some of us take it more
seriously than others. Well, every soul that enters the human experience needs
to remember its spiritual heritage. We need to re-establish our spiritual
integrity – our oneness with God. And of course it is advisable (as many of us
will have already discovered for ourselves) to make the awareness of the
presence a daily, continual, habitual practice.
Our Statement of Being says: “God is all, both invisible and visible.” The
phrase, God is all, restates our belief in an Omnipresent Creator; and we are
a part of this all. God is omnipresent and we are in His Presence from
everlasting to everlasting.
I share with you now one of the most marked and read passages in my copy of
the Divine Science Text Book:
“Although Truth is omnipresent and changeless; although man lives, moves, and
has his being in God, the All Good; although he dwells in the kingdom of
heaven, if he is not conscious of it, he may go on his way lacking many things
and losing the blessedness that IS his. ‘Heirs of God, joint-heirs with
Christ,’ men may, through ignorance of the truth, be slaves of misery, doubt
and poverty. It is KNOWING the truth that makes man free. Man gives a sense of
reality and power to evil when he fails to recognize that his source, his
life, his very existence through time and eternity is God the Good. Truth must
be recognized in order to be realized and to become a power in the lives of
men.”
Most people know that the inner hunger cannot be satisfied with worldly goods,
and so it is we are finding more and more folk are seeking a deeper spiritual
understanding, a connection, or communion with their originating source. We
have been told that we have inherited the kingdom. (“It is your Father’s good
pleasure to give you the kingdom” “….the kingdom of heaven is within you…”
etc.) Are we going to acknowledge the legacy and lay claim to it; or are we
merely going to cast it aside as being an illusion, when all the time what we
are experiencing in the relative world is the illusion? We do have a choice –
to open ourselves to truth, or remain ignorant.
It is in consciousness that we inherit the kingdom; it is in consciousness
that we connect with the source of all life – God. It is in consciousness that
we recognize our own divinity.
In the words of Irwin E. Gregg: “I am a son of God; joint-heir with Jesus
Christ to all that the Father is, does and has, and the Spirit of Truth is
working with me, in me, through me, and by means of me, to establish It’s
peace, power, order, health and plenty on earth.”

SPIRITUAL CINEMA:
Spiritual Cinema Movie, Friday 15 October 2010 at 19h00 at ACT:
Something Unknown Is Doing We Don’t Know What:
After experiencing a series of inexplicable events, Dutch filmmaker Renee
Scheltema, travels to the USA to understand the science behind psychic
phenomena. There she meets up with top scientists, parapsychologists,
psychologists, physicians, and doctors within the field of research, like
Professor Charles Tart, Professor Gary Schwartz, Dr. Larry Dossey and Dr. Dean
Radin. Along the way she collects anecdotal stories from celebrities within
the field, such as psychic detective Nancy Myer, author Arielle Ford,
astronaut Dr Edgar Mitchell and intuitive Catherine Yunt. The result is a
multi award-winning (and at times, humorous) documentary.

ACT SOCIAL COMMITTEE WALK:
The next walk will be on Saturday, 16 October 2010, when we will be doing
the Sacramento Trail at Schoenies. We will meet in the parking at the old
canon at 8:30am. It is an easy walk with beautiful sea views along the way,
where we are also sure to see dolphins and monkeys. There is a turn-off for a
shorter route if you don’t want to go the full distance and do the whole
trail. Bring a snack and water. Don’t forget your sunhat, and sun-block. There
are lovely swimming gullies on the way back, so wear your costume and be
brave!! For any more information, call Marlene on: 076-3093781.

will agree they have all been excellent. You may contact Lee Morgutti for

“THE MOSES IN ME” – 4 WEEK WORKSHOP:
Facilitated by Jean Wildervanck, this workshop will explore the theme of
personal transformation. We all have Moses experiences and encounters in our
lives, and using a metaphysical approach to these well known Bible stories,
they become vehicles for personal transformation.
Four Wednesday mornings, 10:00 to 12:00, commencing 13 October 2010. A list
for names is now on the notice board.
Cost is: R240-00 per person for the 4 week course.
NEWS FROM THE A.C.T. GARDEN:
Amazingly, the garden is surviving the drought, due mainly to the many Eastern
Cape indigenous plants that have been added in recent years.
The front driveway garden requires some attention and you may assist in one of
the following ways:-
Ø Gardening the area if you’re keen and enjoy challenges.
Ø Make a financial contribution towards top soil and manure.
Ø Build a wall – bet you can do it!
Ø Sponsor the building of the wall along the car park.
Speak to Louise Luders (082-2285595) if you’d like to get involved. The
dassies can be a problem, feasting on many species of plants, so check with
Louise before donating plants.
In closing, I
share with you these words from Helen Zagat’s book: Faith and Works:-
“There are two ways of living life – one with fears, anxieties, strain; the
other is the way of deep assurance in the working power of the Presence of
God. To establish a consciousness of harmony, peace and faith is to live
life joyously and with ease.
Each of us has an inheritance. It is the spiritual inheritance of divine
Mind activity, of Substance, of the power to realize oneness with the
Source, of the power to think clearly. Let us learn to use this inheritance
in the way that brings joy, peace of mind, uplift of soul and security.”
Bountiful Blessings
MALLORY
